Corban Holmes | Sport

My name is Corban Holmes and I’m 17 years of age from Tauranga. I always enjoyed school running races but decided to start training for them in Year 9. I joined Craig Kirkwood’s junior squad that year and I have trained six days a week since. I compete regularly now in secondary school and club championships around the country.

I have been fortunate to place top 3 nationally in cross country, road race and track running events. I made my first New Zealand Secondary Schools team this year to compete at the Australian championships. I recently placed 3rd in the New Zealand U20 Men’s Cross Country Champs in Christchurch. In doing so I hope to secure a place in the New Zealand team to compete at the World Champs in 2026.

I love being active and in my down time I enjoy surfing, mountain biking and snowboarding.
