Georgia Kendrick | Sport

My name is Georgia Kendrick and I am a current year 13 student at Sacred Heart Girls College in Hamilton. From a young age, I have always been active and passionate about sports, and this drive has shaped much of my life. When I started high school, I discovered the sport of rowing and quickly realised how much I enjoyed the discipline, focus, and teamwork it demands. Over the years, rowing has taught me perseverance, resilience, and the importance of setting and achieving goals which are lessons that extend beyond the water and into my everyday life.

One of my proudest moments this year was racing in Michigan with the U19 Development Team and representing New Zealand by wearing the fern. This experience was not only a personal achievement but also a chance to challenge myself against other young rowers internationally. Alongside my sporting commitments, I also strive for excellence academically, enjoying the challenge of learning and pushing myself to achieve my best in all areas.

Outside of rowing and school, I value my relationships with friends and family, who have always been my biggest supporters and motivators. I enjoy connecting with people who share my passion for growth, teamwork, and positivity. Looking ahead, I hope to continue developing my skills both on and off the water, embracing opportunities that allow me to grow as a person, contribute to my community, and achieve new goals in sport, academics, and beyond.
