Born and raised in the Waikato i’ve been fortunate enough to attend St Peters school in Cambridge for all my high school years before moving up to Auckland to attend the University of Auckland. I’ve been playing cricket for as long as I can remember, representing the smaller region of Hamilton all through primary and high school, before getting the opportunity to wear the maroon and gold for Northern Districts at the national U15 tournament in the 2015/2016 season, and am now preparing to represent the organisation for my 7th year in the 2021/2022 season. I made my list A debut for the Northern Spirit in the 2018/2019 season in the 50 over format, and then made my super smash T20 list A debut in the 2019/2020 season.

When i’m not standing out in the blistering sun on the cricket field you can most likely find me at the University of Auckland, as i’m halfway through completing a biomedical science degree majoring in cancer biology and therapeutics. During the year i’m pretty busy with study and winter training, and then fully immersed in the cricket season over the summer but when I can catch a break I like to relax out at Raglan beach or just catch up with my friends and whānau. I’m a pretty easy going person but very organised, as a study/sport/personal balance is key to living a healthy student athlete life!

A whakataukī (Māori proverb) that really resonates with me, for both sport and academics, is; Whāia te iti kahurangi ki te tūohu koe me he maunga teitei – Seek the treasure you value most dearly: if you bow your head, let it be to a lofty mountain.
