2018Anna has been singing since before she could talk. Since undergoing vocal training by Jayne Tankersley in 2012, Anna has transformed her natural ability into a skillful and versatile voice, specialising in classical music. Her determination and perseverance paid off when in 2015 Anna won the NZ Aria (one of the most prestigious singing competitions in Australasia) Under 16 category. This was extremely remarkable considering this was her second ever singing competition. In 2016 she was runner-up in the same category. Since moving from Thames (Anna’s home town) to Hamilton to study at St Paul’s Collegiate in 2017, Anna has performed in numerous events in the school’s award-winning choir, big band, and as a soloist Earlier in 2017, Anna was under took the lead role of Emma in St Paul’s Collegiate’s “Jekyll and Hyde”. Anna’s diligence and hard work have seen her complete her Grade 8 Trinity Singing exam in 2017. She also plays the piano, flute, and saxophone. Whilst her talents appear to lie in the arts, Anna is also an avid debater and public speaker.
