My name is Cole Schmidt and I am a passionate water polo goalie. At age 16, I was the youngest player to be selected to represent the New Zealand U18 Men’s Team to play in the World Championships in Argentina in July 2024. I was also selected to represent the New Zealand U16 Team at the Water Polo World Championships in Malta in June 2024. To represent New Zealand at two age levels on the world stage was a big honour. I play for the Hamilton Boys’ High School Premier team and for Waikato Water Polo at U16 and U18 level.
