I love to play hockey. I am passionate about my sport and interested and willing to learn new things about hockey including strategical aspects and technical skills. Alongside my passion for hockey I am a motivated, a friendly person who enjoys spending time hanging out with my friends, watching movies and shopping. I also enjoy spending time with my family and my younger cousins. I think I am an empathetic person who always gives 100 percent to whatever I put my mind to. I set and reset goals that I work hard to achieve. This year as captain of the 1XI hockey I am involved in a senior leadership group with the coach/es and vice-captain. This involves regular meetings, planning team building events and supporting individual players in reaching their potential. This leadership opportunity has continued to support me in communicating my ideas, analysing play and making changes in the game as a whole. In my captaincy role I have had to present speeches to receive awards and welcome/thank other teams. These have all been factors in developing my confidence and leadership style. I am very grateful for the opportunities they have presented me. I am respectful, trustworthy, believe in looking for the best in my team, have a growth mindset and am always open to taking on board the new ideas of others. I strive to be the best I can possibly be and look forward to seeing where all my hard work to lead me over the next few years.
