Grace Holland | Sport

Grace Holland started rowing at Tauranga Girls College and soon discovered that it was a passion of hers. Despite being part of a relatively small volunteer run club, Grace won various Maadi medals (NZ Secondary School Champs) and other National titles.

In 2016 Grace trailed for the NZ Jnr Rowing team and in 2017 she made the team and competed at the World Jnr Rowing Champs in Lithuania. Despite not having rowed in a pair before, Grace and her rowing partner finished a very credible 11th place. She enjoyed the experience of training and competing at a high level.

Grace is about to finish her schooling at Tauranga Girls College and will move to Cambridge so that she can row at the Waikato Regional Performance Centre. She is also planning to study a business degree at Waikato University.

In her spare time (which is not a lot when you’re a rower!) Grace enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
