Lisa Evans | Sport

My name is Lisa Evans, I am 17 years old and have being playing football since I was 8. Football has always been my passion, I love the team environment, the atmosphere and people who are part of the game. I’ve been lucky to have amazing coaches and inspiring people to support my journey. I enjoy being part of a team, sharing and learning from my team mates and making great friendships. Sport has given me opportunities that I never dreamed were possible, such as travelling to China with the New Zealand Under 16 football team. All the games were incredible but the game playing against China was completely motivating – the yelling fans, the big stadium and the quality game of football made me inspired to want to get this opportunity again and again.

Sport has always been one of the best things in my life and has been valuable in shaping me as the person I am today. I do like to balance my football with other challenges such as music and my academic studies. I am also currently working towards the Duke of Edinburgh Gold award
