Lucy Boucher | Sport

I am an extroverted individual, who values time spent with others. It is important to me that I take all opportunities at my disposal and I love giving things a go. This is evident in the various sports I have played over my time at high school including; cricket, basketball, football, and volleyball.

Although participating in many sports resulted in a busy schedule, I focused on being diligent and sticking to my word as part of upholding my various responsibilities. This is a skill that I will continue throughout my life as I value putting my best foot forward and being the best person that I can be.

From a young age, I always had a passion for Cricket starting as a preschool kid in the neighbors’ backyard. This passion along with my hardworking drive has led me to dream of wearing the fern as a New Zealand cricketer.

Outside of sport I enjoy spending time in the outdoors, tramping, snowboarding, biking, and swimming. My passion for the outdoors was one of the main drivers as to why I am currently studying a Bachelor of Forestry Science. Being able to work in an environment where I can better the natural environment and work outdoors is something I aspire to achieve.

I am a team player who consistently wants to ensure that everyone can get the most out of each experience. I have loved being in leadership roles as it gives me an opportunity to look out for my peers to help uplift and encourage them to be the best they can be. I hope to continue to be in positions where I can help others improve whilst working on my own personal skills. I believe that there is strength in numbers and through teamwork, we are able to better ourselves in all aspects of life.
