Megan Williams | Sport2021
Megan Williams, I would define myself as a determined and committed individual who
works tirelessly towards my goals. I give my all to any task that is set in front of me and hold my performances to a high standard, allowing little slack and heavy analysis. I like to live my life in a way where I hold myself to my triumphs and more importantly, my failures. To me, the most important value to uphold while pursuing this in sport and life is the ability to be completely honest with oneself. I’m constantly looking for new opportunities to improve and refine my craft while having a good time along the way. Without complete honesty people have the chance to lose sight of themselves and what
they love most. Through honesty I can not only analyse my sporting life but also use it to create a well balanced lifestyle between school, sport, and being a teenager. I’m also a very ambitious person and strongly believe I can and will achieve anything I truly set my mind to. Since I was just a young girl I really believed that I had superpowers or that I was somehow special. However, I may not have your stereotypical superpowers as seen in the movies, but my unique perspective, logical problem solving mind, fun-loving nature, and competitive drive allow me to push past and through challenges, while looking for the most efficient, effective, and enjoyable way to do so. Many of my current goals in and outside of sport rely heavily on “results”, but my overarching goal in life is to simply be happy, surround myself with positive people, and give back. I often ask myself “if I were told I had a week to live, what would I do differently?”, but, I wouldn’t change a thing.
