Micah Porter | Music / Performing Arts

Kia Ora, my name is Micah Porter.

I’m 18 years old and I am a year 13 from the beautiful Tauranga Moana.

I am an aspiring musician who loves to write and produce music for myself and other artists.

Music has been my passion since I was about 5 years old and it has always been my dream to pursue it as a job.

I enjoy writing with a simple pen and paper but I also love creating using electronic devices such as live loopers, midi controllers and different software like Ableton and Logic Pro.

Making music is like therapy for me, it helps me let out emotions that I’ve been holding onto and helps me to let them go.

I hope to share my music with the world someday to raise awareness for a bunch of causes that I am passionate about as well as help people through their struggles.

Thanks to the Adastra Foundation, they were able to contribute a sum of money to help me live and study in Wellington where I will be majoring in Commercial Music a Massey University.
