My name is Olivia Lassey, i was born and raised in Mount Maunganui. I have been playing basketball since i was in primary school because my family all played. I represented New Zealand for the first time last year in 3×3 and have made the Junior tall fern team that travel to Papa new guinea in october to start a 3 year cycle at oceania cup, hopefully making world cup in 2 years time. This year I have been to Abu Dhabi hosted by the NBA for Basketball without Borders Asia with 40 girls around Asia and then NBA Womens game with 40 other girls globally, I also went to Taiwan with Lincoln university representing NZ in the BLIA cup for u25 university tournament. Locally I play for Mount Maunganui college and have signed an amateur contract with the local Tauihi league (NBL) team Whai.
