Rebecca Petch | Sport

I’m Rebecca Petch, 19 years old and I race BMX. I have been doing BMX since I was just 3 years old. I live and have grown up in Te Awamutu and gone through all the school levels here. I am currently ranked 15th in the world in my first year as an Elite Women. BMX is my passion and I live and breathe it everyday. I love the challenges it gives me and the thrill I get when I jump through the air. I train 6 days a week and in between training I am working a part time job. One day I am hoping to join the Police Force. In my spare time I like to be active and try new things such as mountain biking and snowboarding. I love that I get the opportunity to travel and compete in my sport around the world and be able to learn from the experiences and meet new people from all over the world. My long term goal is to be selected for the 2020 Olympic games. I am beyond grateful for everyone in my corner and for backing me to be the best I can be.
