Samantha Conrad | Music / Performing Arts

Kia Ora my name is Samantha Conrad, I am an active and innovative with a can-do mindset and attitude. I began Ballet at the age of 4 and then started Hip Hop at age 8, which quickly became my favorite dance class of the week. Through my dance journey, I have had many successes, most recently competing at World of Dance with Space Studios and placing 7th in the world. Previous to this I have attained top 5 in contemporary APDA, 1st place NZDA nationals with Space Studios, and constantly achieved honors and distinction grades in Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Contemporary. As well as succeding in the dance faculty at John Paul College, I have achieved excellence endorsement for NCEA level 2 and tracking to endorse NCEA level 3 with excellence. For the past 5 years, I have played the saxophone and guitar, being a member of the JPC Concert band and Jazz band. 10 years of playing Netball led me to the Senior A team in 2022 and I have also gained my bronze award for Duke Of Edinburgh. I love musical theatre and have been involved in Shrek Jr, Mary Poppins, West Side Story, and Chicago. Overall I love being involved in the Arts and sharing my love for dance with others.
