Chloe Davis | Sport
2021I have been involved and immersed in all kinds of sport from a young age, participating in almost every sport under the sun. I am Chloe Davis and I believe that success in anything comes from not only skill but plenty of hard work, resilience, integrity, humility, empathy and honesty. I am constantly striving to be the best that I can be. Begining my first team sport at the age of five, I know what it is like to be in and around a team environment. I began netball when I was seven years old playing in my primary school top team and making Cambridge Representatives for five years before making the move to the higher competition in Hamilton City Representatives in Year 11 and 12 and unfortunately with COVID-19 there was no representative netball. This year as a Year 13 in my last year of school at St Paul’s collegiate, It was devastating to find out that the one major netball tournament Upper North Island Secondary School (UNISS) was cancelled I thought that that would be the end of school netball, however, I ended having a fantastic netball year. Firstly, I had made St Paul’s Open A team in 2019 and 2020 and then was approached to play for Fraser Tech Premier Netball team at the start of the year which is the top team for Hamilton City. Next, I was invited to be one of two training partners for the Waikato Bay of Plenty Beko Team which after two trainings was then announced in the playing squad. I was then invited to go to New Zealand Under 21’s Training Camp as a 17 year old in July 2020. My sporting journey has allowed me to make lifelong friends, meet a whole range of new people and enabled me to travel which are some of the reasons I love sport.
