Elin Tawharu | Sport

My name is Elin Tawharu. I am 16 years, I am a NZ Representative for Surfing and attend Mount Maunganui College. I grew up in Mount Maunganui and have been surfing since I was 9 years old, competing nationally since I was 11. I am currently 3rd in the World for my age in the U16 Girls and am travelling to Japan in a week with the NZ Junior Team to compete in World Junior Surfing Championships for this year in the U18 Girls which I am very excited about as i have been training hard. I have represented NZ where I have been to Ecuador, California, and Portugal. I am planning to compete in the International Surfing WSL QS’S and Pro Juniors in the near future but need some financial support to help me get there .
