Garrick du Toit | Sport

I attended St Paul’s Collegiate last year and have been playing hockey since 2008, currently playing midfield and defence. I am driven by the challenge to play better every game and the competitiveness and fast-paced nature of the game keeps me interested. I have played in a range of national tournaments and played in the Junior Black Sticks Gold Coast tour last year and against Japan in January of this year. My biggest achievements to date include being selected as part of the Junior Black Sticks team for the last two years, and winning both the National U18 Regional tournament with Midlands and the Rankin Cup Secondary Schools Tournament. I am studying a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours. I hope to one day play for the Men’s Black Sticks team and own my own engineering company.
