I am excited about achieving my goals and to join in with any activity. I strive for excellence and always complete tasks to the best of my ability. I continually use each opportunity to improve my overall performance and to achieve my lifetime goals. However I do believe in Humility. Being able to be proud of my achievements yet humbled is something I am grateful for. I like to maintain these core values such as respect, responsibility and humility. These are important to me because I like to be a positive role model to my peers, Judo students, and family. I show these through being committed to my sport, school and home lifestyle. I am able to develop these skills by setting new goals from analyzing what I am currently achieving and improving them step by step.
My most current leadership role is deputy head girl, assistant coach of our Judo club, a member of our District Youth Council, Students Council and a player on our School’s Volleyball team as well as representing New Zealand for Judo. As a student who is actively involved in my community, I have led groups within Youth Council for events, ran a couple hour holiday program for Judo kids and as a deputy head girl I attend as many sports games as possible.
For Judo, I am dedicated, disciplined, self motivated, independent so that I can commit to club training’s as well as using other clubs to train at, workouts, competitions, traveling and maintaining a healthy diet. I am also able to lead people of all ages because I have the experience of being assistant club coach which has developed my skills of public speaking, effective positive communication, patience, compassion and selflessness. All of these skills are needed to communicate, encourage and have people of all ages enjoy the art of Judo.
