Rubi Hart | Sport

Kia Ora, my name is Rubi Hart and I am currently a year 13 student at Hamilton Girls High School. My life has always revolved around sports. From an early age I was heavily involved in surf life saving, judo and rugby achieving national titles. However rugby has always been my passion and I would like to pursue a career in this industry. In 2024 I have been privileged to be a Sonninghill Hostel prefect and a Sports Prefect at HGHS. Through these roles I have been able to further develop my leadership skills which I have taken with me onto the rugby field as 1st XV captain. I am very grateful to have been a 2024 Adastra recipient. The workshops were so beneficial I was able to use apply this new learning to my roles at school. I also took up the valuable opportunity to have a series of sessions with a psychologist focusing on dealing with pressure and overcoming injury.
