My name is Sharnaye Hall and I am a 17 year old girl with a passion for volleyball. From the end of year 9 to now I have played in a variety of different teams and have accomplished many of my goals. I am not the type of person that likes to brag about myself but I am confident in my ability’s as a player. I am a hardworking person and love working with and meeting a range of different people. I believe that I am approachable and easy to get along with. My biggest goal for next year is to make the New Zealand Junior Women’s team travelling to Thailand with an estimated expense of $6000. I am driven to achieve this goal both financially and physically and will continue to push myself and work hard to make this goal possible. I am extremely passionate about volleyball and will continue to strive for success. Although I am going to find it financially difficult as I am heading to university next year. I also have a significant amount of love for the outdoors and through experiences such as a 5 week programme on Great Barrier island I have developed a variety of different leadership skills. I am the type of person that never settles until I know that I have put my 100% effort into any activity or chore that I may completing. I am excited to see what I can experience in the future and scholarships such as these can help to turn dreams into realities.
