Hockey for me is a passion that I have followed since picking up a stick at 6 years old. I’ve been involved in other sports at a representative level but hockey has always been my main focus. This year I made the decision to move to Hamilton to pursue hockey at a performance level. This move has also led me to starting a Building Apprenticeship. Along with my job, hockey challenges me physically and mentally and I really strive to be the best I can be. It has given me lots of opportunities so far to improve my leadership skills and hockey has taught me how teamwork is a strong foundation for success and making lifelong friendships. I consider myself to be a hard worker on and off the turf and with the selection into the NZ U18 Performance Squad this gives me an opportunity to pursue Hockey at the next level. I’m really looking forward to the next few years and what opportunities lay ahead and I’m really thankful for my family and coaches that have help me along the way.
