Bronson Curtis | Sport

Hi my name is Bronson Curtis, I was born and raised in a small town of Tokoroa located in the heart of the South Waikato.

I grew up playing Ripper then Rugby from the age of 4. When I was 8 I picked up a Basketball. Before too long Basketball had quickly became my passion. There wasn’t a day you wouldn’t see or hear me without a Basketball in my hand.

Throughout my journey in Basketball I have achieved reasonable success. I have been playing for Waikato Country Basketball Association since I was 8 being selected in the U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17 teams. Other selections have been the U14 and U15 Trial Camps for New Zealand.

My most current selection is for Basketball Pacific New Zealand U18 also making the team last year for the U16.

While Basketball has been the main focus over the past few years it has never stopped me from being involved in other sports which I have achieved success in. Bay Of Plenty U10s Mixed touch. Tritons Rugby, winners of the Gwynne Shield Cup 2019 which lead to Trial Selections for Waikato. And most recently trying my hand in a new sport which was Volleyball and selected for Waikato U15A team in 2021.

In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym where I can focus on myself. I also love being with my family and hanging out with my friends.

My dedication and discipline have helped me achieve my success so far which is a reflection of how I am as a person. I will continue to work hard to achieve my goals in the near future.
