My name is Casey Ward, I am a competitive wakeboarder living in Mount Maunganui, NZ. I love life and living it to the extreme, most of my time is spent outdoors either wakeboarding, wake surfing, skateboarding or mountain biking at the many parks around this amazing country of ours.
Sport and fitness is a very important part of my life, it allows me to escape the everyday pressures while providing me the happiness of doing something I love.
I was first introduced to wakeboarding when I was eight years old and I started competing when I was nine. A few medals and podium wins was all it took to spark the passion.
I am energetic, motivated, and determined with a great sense of humour and a desire to be the best I can be. I love pushing my own boundaries and will persevere until I succeed.
Over the years I have had lots of amazing opportunities to train with some of the world’s best coaches and wakeboarders. Having such a great network of like-minded people has helped me mature and motivated me to go bigger with my spins and inverts and expand my selection of tricks.
I have been selected to represent New Zealand on several occasions and my goal is to one day to compete as a professional wakeboarder against the world’s best as well as coach other kiwi wakeboarders in the community and continue to grow the sport.
